There are a ton of ways to get Edmonton gaming for a great cause, even if you can’t join us in person for our marathon event.
Did you know?:
- You don’t need to be a gamer to fundraise
- You don’t need to limit yourself to Game Day
- You can play whatever games you like – card games, sports, and hide ‘n’ seek included!
- You don’t need to play for 24 hour straight
- You can make a family event or team-building event out of fundraising
Extra Life allows you to spread the love of games to help sick and injured children. Simply sign up, commit to playing games for 24 hours on any day of your choosing (or over a few days), and ask your family and friends to support your efforts!
Don’t forget meals, bathroom breaks, and to take plenty of opportunities to stretch. If you’re feeling tired, put your game down and go take a nap! Make sure you get plenty of sleep in the week leading up to your marathon. Click here to read up on safety tips.
Don’t let a commitment on the official Game Day stop you from joining. You can put in your game time whenever it works for you.
You can play any game – from PS4 to poker on your phone, from classic board games to playing H-O-R-S-E in your driveway, the important thing is that you’re having fun and helping the kids.
You can game from the comfort of your own couch, at your friend’s house, at a rec center. Families can get involved by creating weekly board game nights or heading outside to play soccer – it’s flexible and all up to you. Lots of Extra Lifers organize big group events for the occasion and just as many pull out the sweatpants and snacks for a chill day at home. It’s your fundraiser—do it your way!
There’s no reason for fundraising to stop with Game Day – you are welcome to fundraise all year round.
Why not do a Game Day your way?
